Phoenixville Hospital, a community hospital
which was recently acquired by Community Health
Systems from the University of Pennsylvania
Health System, will continue to offer local
residents access to an expert
staff of Penn
surgeons through its
affiliation with Penn's Division of Cardiothoracic
Surgery. Penn heart surgeons perform nearly
1,800 heart surgeries each year with outstanding
results.

Medical services

- Cardiac rehabilitation (offered to patients
upon referral by their physician)
- Electrocardiography
- Treatment for heart failure, as well as referral
for those requiring heart transplantation to
the Hospital
of the University of Pennsylvania
- Interventional cardiology, including diagnostic
and therapeutic procedures (balloon angioplasty,
drug-eluting stents and catheterizations)
- Noninvasive cardiac and vascular imaging
