About Our Team

The Department of Dermatology has twenty full-time faculty and more than sixty associated faculty members. With training programs in Dermatology, Dermatopathology, Cutaneous Oncology, Pediatric Dermatology, Dermatoepidemiology, Patient-Oriented Research, Clinical Education, Pre and Post Doctoral Research, and Medical Student Education, we are recognized throughout the world for producing leaders in Academic Dermatology.

The Department has outpatient practices at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Penn Medicine at Radnor. These practices also include Centers of Excellence that provide tertiary care in a large number of sub-specialty areas. Whether in Critical Care or Cosmetic Dermatology, we are recognized nationally and internationally for providing the highest quality of care. Our consultative and inpatient services are an integral part of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania’s multi-disciplinary approach to advanced care in medicine.

Our award winning dedicated and experienced faculty, committed staff, and state-of-the-art facilities, as well as our focus on, and belief in, our mission, first established by Dr. Louis Duhring in 1874, have all guided us to our present position as a leader in dermatological research, education, and patient care.
