new functional imaging possibilities, new multi-dimensional
image display and analysis tools, and the most
up-to-date scanners. The chest radiologists are
responsible for a variety of clinical chest-related
imaging, including:
- computed radiographs (digital
chest x-rays),
- CT scans,
- chest biopsies (including
lung), and
- some cardiovascular imaging
Penn radiologists specialize in the study of radiology are board certified, subspecialty or fellowship trained in imaging. Our radiologists have made major contributions in the development and technological advancement of:
