About Penn Radiology
The faculty and staff of Penn Radiology are dedicated
to adhering to the mission
of the University of Pennsylvania Health System.
In 1897, the "Division of Roentgenology
Services" opened at the Hospital of the University
of Pennsylvania in University City. Considered
to be the first radiology department in the United
States, the Department of Radiology at the University
of Pennsylvania Health System - Penn Radiology
- continues to build and expand on its rich history
of leading the nation and the world in radiological
advancements and research.
Commitment to the Community
Penn Radiology, an internationally renowned program,
remains committed to providing comprehensive
services to our surrounding communities. As
part of an integrated health delivery system,
Penn radiologists provide services at Center
City locations including the Hospital
of the University of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania
Hospital, Penn
Presbyterian Medical Center, and the
Tuttleman Center at Penn Medicine at Rittenhouse.
In addition, Penn radiologists practice at Penn
Medicine at Radnor and numerous
other suburban
outpatient practices and facilities throughout
Bucks, Chester and Montgomery counties including
The Chester County Hospital in West Chester.
